Meeting of the NATO-Ukraine Commission was held in Brussels

 On July 08, 2020 a meeting of the NATO-Ukraine Commission was held in Brussels with the participation of Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Olha Stefanyshyna.

She briefed Allies on Ukraine’s reform efforts and the security situation in and around Ukraine.

Allies reiterated NATO’s commitment to Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity and commended Ukraine on its commitment to a peaceful resolution of the conflict in eastern Ukraine.

Allies also stressed the importance of delivering on domestic reforms, particularly in the judiciary, with regard to the fight against corruption, and in the security and defence sector. 

For references: NATO recognises Ukraine as Enhanced Opportunities Partner. This status is part of NATO’s Partnership Interoperability Initiative, which aims to maintain and deepen cooperation between Allies and partners that have made significant contributions to NATO-led operations and missions.
